Title | : | International Remittance Inflows and Banking Sector Development in Nigeria |
Country | : | Nigeria |
Authors | : | Kayode, Olawale FemiPh.D Candidate Adeleye || J. Olusola Principal Lecturer |
Abstract: This study employedJohansenMaximum Likelihood Estimator Test and Toda-Yamamoto Granger non-Causality(1996) methodology, to uncover the long-run relationship and the direction of causality between remittance inflows and banking sector development in Nigeria between 1984 and 2014. The empirical results suggest that remittances and bank development are cointegrated, indicating a stable long run equilibrium relationship. Further, the findings revealed a unidirectional causality from bank development to remittance inflows with the complimentary role of bank size and efficiency in remittance inflows.........

Title | : | ERM Quantitative Risk Analysis Methods AndTechniquesapplied To A Small Commercial Bank |
Country | : | Indonesia |
Authors | : | Ricardo Matos Chaim |
Abstract: Sincemodeling and risk management must be viewed as a tool to improve business performance, data and modeling tools are required to support financial risk quantification and capital allocation. Market developments and enhanced regulations require new techniques in order to improve Asset and Liability Management..Despite the importance of risk evaluation, lack of reliable public information, the singular probabilistic behavior of the return (or the loss) of market and credit risks and the underlying nature of the business leads to a complexity that is difficult to handle without a combination of methods and techniques that could together give a systemic view of the problem.
